I’m a fan, need to test drive one. Exact sort of thing I would own.

I was just watching the review last night. Seems like a great runabout. Too bad we won’t get it in the States.

It’s ok, they’re going to jack it up 2" and add some plastic cladding, call it a crossover, and sell it here, right?

Probably not, the entire Suzuki car brand did pull out of the US, and doesn’t AFAIK have any partners with a US presence.

I really wish Suzuki had held on here in North America...they were just starting to find their groove here again with the Kizashi when they pulled out....too late it seemed, as by then nobody would buy them, but the Kizashi was a very nice car. The Ignis is the type of little ride I’d be happy tearing around in! :)

I know. You missed the part about only being able to sell it in the US if they made it a “crossover” though...

Looks like a Kia Soul’s cooler younger brother.

Well it already is available with 4WD, so it’s halfway there. It is tiny by US standards though.

All it needs is the Boosterjet engine, close ratio gearbox, Recaros and some loose fitting plastic cladding and we can have an Ignis Sport again. Lighter than the Swift, 110-120HP should be perfect.

Cheap and reliable ... why would anyone here want one?

Normally I’m not really attracted to Suzukis, but this one caught my eye too. And it’s available as an all wheel drive mild hybrid, which is a bit rare for a A segment car.

It seems that Mexico will be getting it too

I’m pretty sure that would be an easy sell to my wife.

I think even if suzuki had a presence there, they probably wouldn’t have offered it. Pictures dont capture how small it actually is.

I spend most of my time laughing at suzukis recent offerings like the Celery. I was genuinely surprised when this thing popped up.

Yeah I was kinda surprised too. I had seen the iM-4 concept at the Geneva motorshow, but I almost paid no attention to it since I was tired, and didn’t expect Suzuki to sell something like that anyway.

Kinja'd!!!

Seems like I was wrong, as it was really quite close to the production car.

Yeah they at least took some risks with it. Im seriously considering making one my next car in a year or two. Ill have money for a new car in the near future and I drive a lot. I keep thinking about a bigger diesel hot hatch, but honestly I’m concerned a quick car will get me into trouble.

It does :) Im not a big fan, but I can see why the car is appealing.
